We said good bye to our campsite in Ponil in Cimarron, and headed south and west. Pretty uneventful drive with the excpetion of a pickup that had no clue about how to merge into traffic - wanted to speed up so we let off the gas, then he slowed down making us almost come to a stop. The at the next gas stop, had some yahoo that had a dog on their lap almost hit the side of the camper. Had to swerve to avoid them but all is fine. Wish they would have rolled up beside at the pump, would have given her a talking to! Really first stupid drivers we have come across on the trip and hope they are last.
Moving on, we at staying at a Harvest Host tonight - Junkyard on Route 66 Brewery and pub. Simple menu and the brews they offer are in the pics. Excellent food and their wisen beer was good.
Tonight we may be the only ones here - but the Maria (the waitress) said the parking lot has had a many as 40 campers here at a time. They use to allow pups on the patio but some owners who had an agressive dog, bit the waitress - so that put an end to that.
The tables in the bar area are side panels from various autos / trucks from the junkyard. At at Ford F150 side panel! In them main dinning room they have hoods from cars as the tables. Pretty cool deal.
Have see rain all around us. Lots of wind, couple of sprinkles right here. Tomorrow we roll into Sun Valley. We have our last full hookup there for two nights and then start back to Minnesota.
Enjoy the pictures. I'm trying to post as many as the app lets me.
